I don’t have much experience with watercolors and this was such a beautiful introduction. Painting with Leslie made working with them feel effortless, and I’m sure it was because of her pre-planning and guidance. I also think conversation was key, because it allowed me to slip in and out of the paintings and not worry too much about the outcome. Words were evocative, almost more than the setting, although light and temperature were also present and nudged in different ways.
